Municipal Court Administrator Tiffany Totah received the Extraordinary Achievement Award from the Texas Court Clerks Association on Nov. 16 during the organization’s annual conference in San Marcos.

The award recognizes a court professional who demonstrates extraordinary performance in program development or other actions that benefit the members of the TCCA, according to a news release from the TCCA.

Totah “has served as a role model for all municipal courts through the pandemic,” according to the commendation that was presented during the conference. “Her innovation and leadership skills were an inspiration to other court administrators when making court happen for defendants by offering virtual hearings. We love her energy and eagerness to always do what is best for the court and organization.”

Totah serves on the board of the TCCA and is the president of the South Texas Chapter. She has also served on numerous committees within the TCCA, including the technology committee and the conference committee.

To be eligible for the Extraordinary Achievement Award, the honoree must also have received the TCCA’s Distinguished Service Award. Totah received this award in 2020 in recognition of her service to the organization and for helping other courts adapt to provide remote services.
