The Community Center splash pad is up and running, and the City is working to bring the other two online as soon as possible.
Before the splash pads can open to the public each season, the splash pads must go through testing and chlorine treatment to ensure that they are fully functioning and safe to use.
This process cannot be started while the weather is still cold. The splash pads are winterized during the off-season to prevent damage, so the City must wait until the weather is consistently warmer to begin testing and chlorine treatment.
When will the other splash pads open?
The Lone Tree Creek splash pad is expected to open Wednesday, March 27.
The Ethel Lee Tracy Park splash pad is expected to open by the end of April. The City is working to repair damage to the recirculation tanks that occurred last year.
Just press the button!
Victoria’s splash pads are activated by a push-button system that turns off when the splash pad is not in use. If the water is not running, residents should press the activator button.
The button for the Lone Tree Creek splash pad is located near the gate. The Community Center splash pad has two buttons: one near the gate and one on the other side of the splash pad.
