The City of Victoria on Nov. 28 hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Laurent Street Underpass Mural Project. The ceremony was attended by City officials, UP Art Studio, contributing artists and others who participated in the project. The mural was designed by UP Art Studio and completed with assistance from local and visiting artists, and local photographers provided reference photos for the mural’s design. Crossroads Art House coordinated recruitment of local artists for the project. The City is planning to host a public celebration of the project in March 2024. Details will be provided as they become available.
