Daron LewisDaron Lewis was recently hired as the fire marshal for the Victoria Fire Department. In this role, he will plan, organize, develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive fire prevention program for the city; investigate the cause, origin and circumstances of fires in which property has been destroyed or damaged; and oversee the Fire Prevention Division of the Victoria Fire Department. Lewis is a licensed peace officer who served as a deputy sheriff in Lubbock and later served the Lake Jackson Police Department as a patrol officer, detective, SWAT team member and assistant fire marshal. He is a native of Houston, and he earned his bachelor’s degree in administration of justice from Texas Southern University and his master’s degree in public administration from Wayland Baptist University.
