City of Victoria Riverside Golf Course Superintendent Brian Woolard recently received the 2020 Golf Course Superintendent of the Year award from the Texas Gulf Coast Superintendents Association. He was nominated for this recognition by his peers within the association. Woolard has been the superintendent of Riverside Golf Course since 2018 and played a key role in improving the condition of the greens after the City assumed management of the golf course. Woolard has more than 20 years of experience in golf course management, and he also received the 2010 Golf Course Superintendent of the Year award from the Central Texas Golf Course Superintendents Association when he was the superintendent of Willow Springs Golf Course in San Antonio.
