Recreation coordinator Elijah Ramos with the City of Victoria Parks & Recreation was recently elected to serve as the East Region Representative of the Texas Recreation & Park Society’s Future & Young Professional Branch. In this role, he will attend Texas Recreation & Park Society meetings representing the East Region, coordinate with local universities to inform prospective Parks & Recreation professionals of educational and networking opportunities, and help to provide new and upcoming professionals with the tools to succeed in Parks & Recreation. Ramos has worked for the City of Victoria for more than two years, and he holds a Certified Park and Recreation Professional certification from the National Recreation and Park Association.
