The City of Victoria Communications & Public Affairs earned two statewide awards from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) for its multimedia productions highlighting City initiatives and the Victoria community.
The team earned an Award of Excellence in the Multimedia – Other category for Town Talk, the City’s new podcast featuring candid conversations with City officials and local leaders.
The team also earned an Award of Excellence in the Special or One-Time Program category for Past. Present. Future. A Reflection of Victoria’s 200 Years, a cinematic trailer encompassing Victoria’s 200 years of history.
“Our department’s video and podcast production are a reflection of our mission to connect with our residents and keep them tuned in to their community, whether by providing information or by fostering community pride and involvement,” said Communications Director Ashley Strevel. “I am proud of our creative and hardworking team, and we are honored to have our efforts recognized at the state level.”
