The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Riverside Park duck pond, as well as the kids’ fishing camp following the ceremony, are being postponed due to inclement weather.
Both events, originally scheduled for Feb. 17, will instead be held Thursday, March 14.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. This free event is open to the public and will be livestreamed on Facebook at City of Victoria, Texas – Government.
The kids’ fishing camp will take place immediately following the ceremony, about 11 a.m. The event is free, but space is limited and registration is required.
Residents who have already signed up for the kids’ fishing camp but are unable to attend on the rescheduled date are strongly encouraged to cancel their reservations so that other residents can participate. More information about the event is available at www.victoriatx.gov/kidsfish.
