The Victoria Fire Department (VFD) Technical Rescue Team is made up of members of the Victoria Fire Department that have received specialized training in high angle rescue, complex rope systems, confined space rescue, and trench rescue operations. These dedicated individuals are capable of responding with specialized equipment to provide rescue and medical services to patients that are difficult to access due to their location.
The VFD Technical Rescue Team strives to meet the needs of our growing community. Victoria’s growing industry increases the likelihood of incidents that require technical rescue. The Victoria Fire Department plans to meet these challenges by recruiting new members, pre-planning, and extensive training.
The Technical Rescue Team utilizes the Rescue truck and a dedicated trailer to transport the equipment and materials needed.
