[ARCHIVED] Victoria Police Department swears in new officer

Man in police uniform is sworn in at City Council chambers

Antonio Acosta is sworn in by City Secretary April Hilbrich as a new Victoria Police Department officer during a ceremony July 27 at City Council chambers, 107 W. Juan Linn St. Acosta must now complete a 20-week field training program alongside senior officers. After successfully completing this program, he will patrol the city streets and respond to calls for service independently. Acosta is a Victoria native and a 2019 graduate of Victoria West High School.
