[ARCHIVED] Victoria Police Department to host Shred-it event

Stack of paper next to shredded papers

Community members will be able to dispose of their private documents securely when the Victoria Police Department hosts a Shred-it event sponsored by Prosperity Bank from 8 a.m. to noon April 23 at Prosperty Bank, 7001 N.E. Zac Lentz Parkway.

Each resident can bring up to two containers (file boxes or equivalent) of paper documents to be shredded using the mobile destruction device provided by Shred-it. Residents may not bring metal, plastic bags or other non-paper items.

“Identity theft and bank information fraud crimes are a real threat in any community,” said Police Chief Roberto Arredondo. “We encourage residents to shred their personal, private information to protect themselves from becoming victims of these crimes.”
