Keep Victoria Beautiful is seeking volunteers to help with the organization’s first community-led beautification event since its revival and integration with the City earlier this year.
“We’d like to host these types of events on a regular basis going forward,” said Darryl Lesak, director of the City of Victoria Environmental Services. “One of our goals is to encourage residents to take pride in their community, and participating in a group cleanup can be a fun way to do that.”
Volunteers will meet at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 5 in the parking lot of Target, 7608 N.E. Zac Lentz Parkway, and then spread out to clean and beautify the area of Loop 463 between Navarro and Main streets. The cleanup is expected to last until 10 a.m.
Volunteers will be required to bring facial coverings. Keep Victoria Beautiful will provide work gloves, protective vests and donuts.
Registration is not required. For more information about the event, email kvb@victoriatx.gov. To sign up to be notified of future cleanups, visit www.victoriatx.gov/kvb.
