Residents will have a chance to earn their emergency medical technician certifications close to home as the Victoria Fire Department partners with the Magnolia Beach Volunteer Fire Department to host an EMT-B training course.
The program will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays Jan. 8-26, 2024, at the Victoria Fire Department training facility at 1411 SW Ben Jordan St. An optional pre-registration information session will be hosted at the facility at 6 p.m. Dec. 18.
The course consists of classroom and hands-on instruction in the emergency medical services field, including supervised experiences with a licensed EMS provider. Once the course is completed, students will have the opportunity to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians exam to earn their emergency medical technician certifications.
