Daron LewisFire Marshal Daron Lewis was recently selected to serve as the City of Victoria Fire Department’s next Fire Marshal. In this role, he will plan, organize, develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive fire prevention program with the City. He will investigate the cause, origin and circumstances of fires in which property has been destroyed or damaged. Lewis was born and raised in Houston. He earned his bachelor’s degree in administration of justice from Texas Southern University and earned his master’s degree in public administration from Waylon Baptist University. Lewis is a licensed peace officer and served as a deputy sheriff for several years in Lubbock. He later accepted a position at the Lake Jackson Police Department, where he would serve eight years as a patrol officer, detective, SWAT team member and assistant fire marshal.
