Genealogy - DNA for Beginners with Kelli Bergheimer

Monday, August 8, 2022

Kelli Bergheimer is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the Genealogical Speaker's Guild. Come and learn how DNA testing can help you find your matches and how to make the most of the five common testing companies such as Ancestry and 23andMe.

Learn how DNA testing can help you find out your matches and break down brick walls in your research. Learn about three types of DNA testing- autosomal, mitochondrial, and y-DNA tests. Determine which type of test you should take. Learn how to determine genetic relationships in different types of tests. If you have results, learn how to make sense of your matches and get the most out of the five common testing companies—Ancestry DNA, FamilyTreeDNA, 23andMe, MyHeritage DNA, and Living DNA.
