Patrick Aitchison

Lieutenant Patrick Aitchison joined the Victoria Police Department in September 1986 as a Patrol Officer.  Since that time his assignments have included Crime Prevention Specialist, D.A.R.E. Officer, Detective in the Juvenile Unit, Patrol Sergeant, and Crime Scene Sergeant.  In 2005 he was promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to the Training Unit.  In 2007, he transferred to the Patrol Division as the Lieutenant for 1st Platoon.  In March of 2011, Lieutenant Aitchison became the Lieutenant over VPD Telecommunications at our 911 Center.

For several years Lieutenant Aitchison served as local fundraising coordinator for the Texas Special Olympics Torch Run and was also a member of the Texas Special Olympics Torch Run State Fundraising Board.

He holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education with over 6000 training hours and is a TCLEOSE Instructor.  He is also an instructor in Emergency Driving, Crisis Intervention, and Firearms.
