Lieutenant of Investigations - Michael Beyer
Michael Beyer is a lifetime resident of the City of Victoria and Victoria County. He began his career with the Victoria Police Department in September 1985 as a Patrol Officer. Later he transferred to the Investigations Division where he worked in the Juvenile Crime Unit and the Property Crimes Team. After being promoted to Sergeant, he served in Investigations and on the former "Power Shift". He then moved to Patrol and served in the role of Platoon Sergeant and in 2004 was promoted to Lieutenant. Beyer remained on Patrol until 2008 when he transferred to the Investigations Special Assignment Section where he currently works.
Lieutenant Beyer is a Graduate of the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas, Leadership Command College. He holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate, is a TCLEOSE instructor, firearms instructor, use of force instructor, former chemical munitions and specialty impact munitions instructor. He is an avid outdoorsman and competitor in the shooting sports.
