Lieutenant of the Training and Recruitment Unit

Lieutenant Kenneth Jackson began his career with the Victoria Police Department in March of 1991. His assignments have included Patrol – Bike Patrol, Major Accident Team, Investigations, and Training and Recruiting.

Lt. Jackson has held the ranks of Patrol Officer, Senior Patrol Officer, Detective, Sergeant, and in 2008 Jackson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and was assigned to supervise members of VPD Patrol 4th, Platoon.

Lt. Jackson has recently completed Module I of the Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas (LEMIT).  He holds a Master Peace Officer certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education (TCLEOSE), with over 2200 hours of law enforcement training. He is also a certified Police Traffic Radar and LASER Instructor; a TCLEOSE Instructor, and a certified Special Investigator.

Lt. Jackson's current assignment in the Training and Recruiting Unit places him in charge of all the training and recruiting for all VPD officers and VPD civilian employees.
