These PSAs are part of a national campaign by APCO, International to improve awareness of the 9-1-1 system. Using humor, they address two very serious issues - the mis-use of 9-1-1 for non-emergencies and the lack of accurate location information from mobile phones.

This page is being provided as a means to familiarize you with the operations of the 911 Center and basic information about emergency communications in the City of Victoria and Victoria County, Texas. For those of you who are unfamiliar, City of Victoria is located in the Golden Crescent of Coastal Texas. We service a population of about 80,000 city and county residents and our service area extends into our nearby bordering counties.
The 911 Communications has the mission of coordinating the response of resources to an emergency. This occurs through the 911 operations.
