Since November 1999, the Crime Prevention Unit has been housed at the Victoria Mall, Sub-Station 7800 North Navarro Street. The office is located on the southwest corner of the mall between Chick-Fil-A and Sears. The location is staffed by a Sergeant, two Crime Prevention Officers and a Secretary.

The rear portion of the mall sub-station provides a northern office for the patrol section of the department. This allows the officers, farthest from the main departmental building, access to the computer network for research and reporting purposes.

- Community Room Application

The sub-station also has two meeting facilities that are utilized for the Civilian Police Academy  and other training within the department. The conference room houses a large conference table for smaller groups, while the Community Room, set up in classroom style, seats about 28 students.

As a public service, the two meeting facilities are available for use by non-profit organizations.
