Commercial Security Surveys

WHAT IS A HOME COMMERCIAL SECURITY SURVEY?

  • A Commercial Security Survey is an inspection of your business.  The inspection will cover items such as type of lighting, doors, locks, and windows.  Other areas inspected include internal security risk such as key control, bank deposits, employee service.  PLUS MORE

WHY SHOULD I HAVE A SECURITY SURVEY DONE?

  • You will learn what areas of your business need security improvements and recommendation on how to make those improvements.  The inspection will provide you with recommendations on how to make your business a “hardened” target.  While the Victoria Police Department cannot guarantee you won’t be burglarize, our recommendation should discourage burglars.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • Contact the Victoria Police Crime Prevention Unit at (361)485-3808 or come by the VPD Substation located in the Victoria Mall by Sears.  A Crime Prevention Officer will schedule a time for the inspection.  After inspecting the property, the Officer will prepare a written survey for you and then be available for questions concerning the recommendations.

HOW MUCH DOES THIS SERVICE COST?

  • Any recommendation on improvements will be at the business owner’s expense.  The Victoria Police Department does the inspection FREE.

WHO DOES THE SURVEY?

  • The Victoria Police Department has Officers who have been trained to inspect homes and businesses.  These Officers are certified as Crime Prevention Officers.
