Victoria Police Department

Support Services Division

The Support Services Division is charged with providing logistical support and technical assistance to other areas of the Police Department.  Support Services is responsible for the purchasing of supplies and equipment for the department, maintenance of  existing equipment and the sale of abandoned vehicles.

Requests for Off-Duty Police Officers for security work are coordinated through this division. Persons wanting information may contact the Support Services office at 361-485-3720.

These three units of the Police Department also fall under the command of the Support Services Captain:

  • Records Section - Receives, records and stores information pertaining to police activities and retrieves and distributes this information to authorized personnel and to citizens through Open Records requests.
  • Crime Prevention Unit - This unit plans and coordinates proactive crime prevention activities city-wide, as well as assisting the public with public information concerning police activities.
  • Telecommunications - Also known as the 911 Center, these highly trained individuals receive, process, and transmit all calls for emergency police assistance and other information as requested.
