Crimer Reports Website

CrimeReports.com is free to members of the public, and allows users to receive alerts automatically via email if a crime occurs in their immediate neighborhood. It also allows people to view reported crime activity and registered sex offenders on an easy-to-use map for any location within the city of Victoria. 

CrimeReports.com allows the Victoria PD to publish local crime incident information to the Internet in near real-time, making raw crime data easily accessible and user-friendly for community members. Crime data is uploaded every six hours to the website making the information accurate and timely.  By using CrimeReports.com, members of the public can easily view crime information from multiple jurisdictions where they both live and work in one convenient, easy-to-use location. The published information is presented through a Google Maps interface where residents can review up-to-date crime activity for any location within each agency's jurisdiction.

Basic information that CrimeReports.com provides is:

  • Registered Sex Offenders living in Victoria
  • Type of incident (preliminary)
  • Date of incident
  • Block address of incident
  • Other pertinent information as deemed necessary by the reporting law enforcement agency

CrimeReports.com enables the Victoria Police Department to manage and control its own data and determine what information is deemed appropriate to share with the public. The crime information is categorized into 15 general crime type categories and 21 subcategories of crime and calls for service activity, including:
