Victoria Police Department

Meet our Newest Officers

The Victoria Police Department continues to recruit and hire the highest quality individuals as Police Officers.  Our officers are bound by the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics and all licensed officers, prior to assuming sworn status, are required to take an oath of office to enforce the law and uphold the Constitutions of the United States and the State of Texas.

On May 7, 2013 both Phillip Garcia and Robert Nichols IV took the oath of office as a Victoria Police Officer.

Phillip Garcia (at left) is from Victoria and has previously worked at Goliad County Sheriff's Office.

Robert Nichols is new to Victoria having recently graduated the

Alamo Area Council of Governments Police Academy in San Antonio.

David Reed was sworn in as a VPD Officer on April 3, 2013.

He moves to Victoria from Spring, Texas and he is a recent graduate of the

Lone Star Law Enforcement Academy in Houston.  Prior to policing, Officer Reed worked in retail sales.

On January 3, 2013 we welcomed these 6 officers into the ranks of the Victoria Police Department.  All six graduated from the Victoria College Police Academy in December.  Shown left to right are:
