No On-Street Parking on Constitution Street from Main Street

and Bridge Street, Beginning September 21

(VICTORIA, TEXAS) The City will close on-street parking on Constitution Street between Main Street and Bridge Streets beginning Monday, September 21, 2009 to install a new sewer line.  The construction should take approximately one week, weather permitting.

Two-way traffic will be maintained and pedestrians will have access to the First Victoria National Bank building during construction. 

The City has taken measures to reduce inconvenience to businesses and motorists but drivers can expect ajor delays in the work zone and should use alternate routes to avoid construction when possible.

This construction is part of the $2,913,062 Downtown Water and Sewer Line Replacements (Phase I, Projects 1 & 2). The contractor is Triple B Services, LLP from Huffman, Texas. This project is expected to take approximately 8 months to complete.
