Hot Air Balloon will be at Clean Air Event
(VICTORIA, TEXAS) A 100 foot tall hot air balloon will be in the air at the Pattie Dodson Health Center parking lot this Saturday along with vendors, classic Chevys, good food and green vehicles to celebrate National Air Quality Awareness Week. The event is sponsored by Air Victoria—Keep It Clean and Victoria Clean Cities.
The fun and education kicks off at 10 a.m. at the corner of Navarro and Airline in Victoria after a private breakfast for sponsors and participants. The event will include radio remotes, giveaways, product discounts, alternative fuel vehicles and equipment, a Jenny Jump for the kids and lots of fun! The purpose of this annual event is to educate Victorians about clean air and alternative fuels.
Special features at this year’s event include the Eco-Systems hot air balloon and the Classic Chevy Car Club of Victoria. Car care info, biodiesel giveaways, radio remotes, exhibits and music will be part of the fair-like atmosphere. This Car Care Event is co-sponsored by Victoria Clean Cities, Air Victoria, DuPont, International Power @ Coleto Creek and the State Energy Conservation Office.
Air Quality Awareness Week reminds Americans to protect themselves from the respiratory effects of air pollution. Throughout the year there are days when air quality could pose potential health risks. Learn what causes outdoor air pollution and what you can do to protect your health and others online at www.airvictoria.org and sign up for free ozone alerts.
