Glass/Constitution Intersection to Close for One Day

For Underground Utility Work

(VICTORIA, TEXAS) The City will close the intersection of Glass Street and Constitution Street on Thursday, September 10, 2009 to install underground utilities. The construction in this intersection is expected to take approximately one day, weather permitting.

Although the City has taken measures to reduce the inconvenience to businesses, residents and motorists by limiting the length of street the contractor can work at any one time, drivers can expect major delays in the work zone and should use alternate routes to get around the work zone if possible.

This construction is part of the $2,913,062 Downtown Water and Sewer Line Replacements (Phase I, Projects 1 & 2). The contractor performing the work is Triple B Services, LLP from Huffman, Texas. This project is projected to take approximately 8 months to complete.

For more information, contact the Public Works Department at 485-3340.
