Victoria Threat from Alex is Wind and Rain
(VICTORIA, TEXAS) The National Weather Service expects Alex to become a hurricane later today and make landfall south of the Rio Grande River in north Mexico on Thursday.
The storm’s main threat to the Victoria region could be rain and winds. The Victoria area could receive between 4-8 inches of rain beginning Wednesday through Friday. Winds close to 50 mph could arrive in the area as early as Wednesday night.
Local emergency officials urge residents to monitor this hurricane in case it changes direction and threatens the Victoria area.
