Constitution Street to be Under Construction between Main Street

and Bridge Street During Evening Hours Beginning October 4th

(VICTORIA, TEXAS) The City will reduce traffic to one-lane Eastbound and prohibit on-street parking during the evening on Constitution Street between Main Street and Bridge Streets, beginning Sunday, October 4, to install a water line.  Construction will be between the hours of 6 p.m.-6 a.m. and is expected to take approximately one week, weather permitting.

During the day, 6 a.m.-6 p.m., two-way traffic will be maintained, on-street parking will be restored and pedestrians will have access to the First Victoria National Bank building.  

The City has taken measures to reduce the inconvenience to businesses and motorists by limiting the area the contractor may disturb at any one time.  Drivers may still experience delays in the work zone.  Alternate routes are suggested if possible.

This construction is part of the $2,913,062 Downtown Water and Sewer Line Replacements (Phase I, Projects 1 & 2). The contractor is Triple B Services, LLP from Huffman, Texas. This project is expected to take approximately 8 months to complete.
