Sam Houston Drive Reduced to Two-WayTraffic
for Four Months Between Airline Road and Tanglewood Drive
(VICTORIA, TEXAS) Beginning on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, the City will reduce Sam Houston Drive to two-way, two-lanes between Airline Road and Tanglewood Drive to install storm sewers and for paving. The traffic will be shifted to the southbound lanes (west side) during this construction phase. The construction is expected to be complete in approximately 4 months, weather permitting.
All businesses in the construction zone will remain open and accessible, and the public is encouraged to continue to support businesses in the work zone. Through-traffic can avoid delays in the work zone by seeking alternate routes.
This construction is part of the $17,997,550 Sam Houston Drive Reconstruction Project (Laurent Street to Business 59). The contractor is SER Construction Partners, Inc. of Pasadena, Texas.
