Free Family Fish Out Scheduled for May 14

(VICTORIA, TEXAS) The Victoria Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a free Family Fish Out  from 8 am to noon on Saturday, May 14 at Ethel Lee Tracy Park pond, located at 701 East Larkspur. The pond will be stocked with channel catfish to offer fishermen of all ages an opportunity to reel in a fish.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has waived the need to acquire a fishing license for this event only.

Academy Sports and Outdoors is the exclusive sponsor of this year’s Family Fish Out. There will be a limited number of rods and reels for loan, and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Youth fishing participants (ages 1-6 and ages 7-12) will have the chance to compete for prizes in the following categories:

Longest Catfish

Smallest Catfish

Most Catfish

All participants must be present to win any of the awards.
