DeLeon Street Reduced to One-Lane Northbound

From River Street to Convent Street Beginning on April 19

(VICTORIA, TEXAS) Beginning on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, the City will reduce DeLeon Street to one-lane northbound between River Street and Convent Street, for the construction of a waterline.  The project is expected to take two weeks, weather permitting.

Drivers can expect delays in the work zone and should use alternate routes to access businesses and parking lots.  On-street parking will be prohibited in the work zone.

This construction is part of the $2,232,087.20 Downtown Water and Sewer Line Replacements   (Ph II - Projects 1 & 2).  The contractor is Matula & Matula Construction, Inc. of Lake Jackson, Texas.
