Bridge Street Narrowed to One Lane Between
Constitution Street and Forrest Street for Four Weeks Beginning July 27
(VICTORIA, TEXAS) Beginning on July 27, the City will narrow Bridge Street to one-lane-only between Constitution Street and Forrest Street for approximately four weeks for construction of a new curb and gutter, storm sewer and sidewalk. There will be no on-street parking in the construction zone.
Constitution Street between Bridge Street and Main Street will continue to be reduced to one lane for approximately three more weeks to complete the construction of a new curb and gutter, storm sewer, and sidewalk. Parking restrictions remain in effect on the south side of Constitution.
Parking along the west side of Main Street, between Forrest Street and Constitution Street (adjacent to DeLeon Plaza), will be available. Drivers can expect delays in this area and should use alternate routes to avoid the work zone when necessary.
All businesses and parking lots in the construction zone will remain accessible via alternate routes.
This construction is part of the $2,168,275 Main Street and DeLeon Plaza Improvements Project. The contractor is SER Construction Partners, Ltd. of Pasadena, Texas.
