Improvements Begin Thursday, May 13

Forrest Street Reduced To One Lane

Between Main and Bridge Streets

(VICTORIA, TEXAS) The City will begin construction on the Main Street and DeLeon Plaza Improvements Project beginning Thursday, May 13.  On that day, the City will reduce Forrest Street to one-lane westbound--only from Main Street to Bridge Street.

Construction of the new sidewalk and curb and gutter along the north side of DeLeon Plaza is expected to take approximately six weeks, weather permitting. Parking along the north side of DeLeon Plaza will be prohibited.

All businesses and parking lots in the work zone will remain accessible via alternate routes.

The City and contractor are working to reduce public inconvenience; however, drivers may experience delays in this area. Alternate routes are suggested when possible.

This construction is part of the $2,168,275.00 Main Street and De Leon Plaza Improvements Project. The contractor is SER Construction Partners, LTD from Houston, Texas.
