The primary responsibility of the Solid Waste Division is to collect the City's residential solid waste and the operation of the City's recycling efforts. The office employs 17 people, including an assistant director, a supervisor, office staff and
lead/automated/Solid Waste drivers. The City operates one drop-off recycling center located at 124 Huvar Street.

Curbside Garbage Collection brochure
Pickup starts at 7:00 a.m.
It shall be unlawful for any person to place or leave any residential (garbage) container, empty or otherwise, on or near a curb line after 8:00 p.m. on the designated collection day or prior to 8:00 p.m. on the day before the day designated for collection. Section 13-175(b), City Code
Holiday schedule : garbage will not be picked up on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Garbage will be picked up on your regularly scheduled day for all other holidays.
