The primary responsibility of the Solid Waste Division is to collect the City's residential solid waste and the operation of the City's Recycling efforts. The office employs 43 people, including a manager, a supervisor, principal clerk, senior clerk, crew leaders, and equipment operators. The City operates two drop-off recycling centers located at 124 Huvar Street and 1103 Pine Street.

Curbside Garbage Collection
Pickup starts at 7:00 a.m.
North Route garbage is collected on Mondays and Thursdays.
South Route garbage is collected on Tuesdays and Fridays.
If your collection day occurs on a holiday, service will be provided on the following collection day.

Residents with automated trash service: if your collection day occurs on a holiday, service will be provided on Wednesday of the same week.

Call 485-3220 to make an appointment to have your furniture, appliances and construction debris (less than six feet in length) to be collected at your residence.

Call 485-3220 to make an appointment for large amounts of tree limbs to be collected in your area one week per month.
It shall be unlawful for any person to place or leave any residential (garbage) container, empty or otherwise, on or near a curb line after 8:00 p.m. on the designated collection day or prior to 8:00 p.m. on the day before the day designated for collection. Section 13-175(b), City Code
