The City of Victoria is committed to helping maintain a healthy environment for current and future generations by offering recycling services to residents. Recycling is the process of collecting, sorting, cleaning, treating, restoring and converting materials that would otherwise become solid waste and part of a landfill. Recycling helps keep disposal costs down while preserving natural resources and protecting the air, soil and groundwater.
Curbside Recycling Available to City Residents
The curbside residential recycling Program officially started in February 2012. Recycling is collected every other week. There are 10 recycling routes/areas and recycling will be collected on a different day from residents' normal trash pick-up.
The curbside recycling program is only available at this time for residential customers. Future plans to expand the program to include businesses and apartment complexes are being discussed.
