Under the Recovery Act, the City of Victoria is eligible for $168,728 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. This funding is in addition to the City of Victoria's annual CDBG funding. The CDBG program enables local governments to undertake a wide range of activities intended to create suitable living environments, provide decent affordable housing and create economic opportunities, primarily for persons of low and moderate income. This funding requires that priority be given to projects that are "shovel ready" and contribute to economic growth and development. The proposed projects are listed in the Action Plan below.
