Applying for a Library Card

Library cards are free to residents of Texas. Proof of a current Texas address must be shown with at least one of the following:

  • A valid Texas driver's license showing your current address.
  • A Texas Department of Public Safety Identification Card showing your current address.
  • A photo ID and a printed check or utility bill showing your current address.

Juvenile Library Cards are issued to children 17 years and under. A family member must sign the application and proof of current address must be shown (see above). A family member can be: the legal parent or guardian; step-parent; aunt; uncle or grandparents.

Out of State Cards are available for a $30.00 annual fee.

Patron Privacy: In accordance with state law the library cannot give out patron information.
